Wilton Way delights

A couple of food shots from my part time office and home-away-from-home, the Wilton Way Cafe in London Fields. A breakfast staple of Sauteed Mushrooms, Rocket and Goats Cheese on Sourdough, and the Pastry and Cake counter in full effect.

Wilton Way experience

It’s not often you can enjoy a hearty breakfast while witnessing a live (or perhaps pre recorded) Radio broadcast. But you can do this, at the delightful Wilton Way Cafe, home of London Fields Radio. Breakfast was Avocado and Chilli flakes on Toasted Sourdough, with a side of grilled Bacon and a squeeze of lemon. Delish.

Mushrooms on Toast, two ways

Home cooked Chestnut mushrooms, fresh from the Stoke Newington Farmers Market Mushroom Man, cooked with Olive Oil, Garlic, Salt with some chopped Coriander thrown in at the end. Chicken Liver Pate (again from the market) on Francoise’ Sourdough toast on the side. (A slighty generous helping. But then sometimes my eyes are bigger than my stomach)

And then, a working lunch, courtesy of the wonderful folks at the Wilton Way Cafe. Mushrooms with Goats Cheese and Rocket on Toast. The Wilton Way is a delightful East London cafe, home to London Fields Radio and a general air of bonhomie. The coffee is bewdy bonza cracker, in local parlance. Local, if you hail from Perth, or Paikakariki.

I love it when good Cafe breakfast food starts appearing in London. This Mushroom, Garlic and Rocket on Toasted Sourdough is courtesy of the recently opened Wilton Way Cafe, the home of London Fields Radio, a fantastic community project showcasing local artistic talent.
